The Roy Castle Lung Foundation will be launching a Celebrity Shoe Auction on 12th September as part of the ‘De-Feet’ Lung Cancer Campaign.
Melanie C joined the group of celebrities including Formula 1’s Lewis Hamilton, Dame Judi Dench, Take That’s Gary Barlow and Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe that pledged a pair of their favourite shoes for the online auction.
The ‘De-Feet’ Lung Cancer Campaign aims to raise public awareness about lung cancer in the UK and to support the Foundation’s works.
Besides the online auction, the ‘De-Feet’ Lung Cancer Campaign is encouraging people to sponsor events to help raising money for the Foundation.

E pensare che qualche settimana fa aveva detto che la maternità poteva aspettare e che ci si può sentire felici “anche senza figli”. Probabilmente in cuor suo la 34enne Mel C., l’unica Spice girl a non aver ancora abbracciato le gioie della materntà, la pensava molto diversamente.

The singer and her partner of six years, Thomas Starr, are said to be “delighted” with the news.
Chisholm, 34, sparked rumours she was expecting last Friday (16Aug08) after she appeared to be hiding a baby bump under a flowing dress when paparazzi caught her out and about.
A source tells British newspaper the Daily Mirror, “Melanie is over the moon at the prospect of becoming a mum for the first time.” The pop star recently revealed she was keen to start a family.

Former Spice Girl Melanie Chisholm has revealed she is pregnant. Mel, 34, is expecting her first baby with partner of six years, Thomas Starr. She is the last of the five Spice Girls to have a baby.

Mel – also known as Mel C and Sporty Spice – revealed yesterday she is “delighted” by the news. The other members of the girl band – Geri Halliwell, Victoria Beckham, Emma Bunton and Melanie Brown – have said they are delighted for their friend.

A source close to the star told Britain’s Daily Mirror newspaper: “Melanie is over the moon at the prospect of becoming a mother for the first time. The girls are so pleased for her and have said they’re only a phone call away to pass on any parenting tips. “Melanie loved being around their kids on the band’s recent tour and is delighted she’s now one of the gang.”

Rumours Mel was pregnant were sparked when she was spotted in a floaty dress with what looked like a baby bump in Liverpool last Friday. One onlooker described her as looking “absolutely radiant” at the time.

Mel had previously hinted she was ready to have children in a recent interview while still touring with the Spice Girls, saying: “I love kids and one of the best bits about touring with the Spice Girls this time round was getting to know everyone’s babies. I’m sure babies will be part of my future.” When Mel has her child it will be the eighth baby born to the Spice Girls.

Sporty Spice, 34, is the last member of the hit band to have a child, following in the footsteps of Victoria Beckham, Melanie Brown, Geri Halliwell and Emma Bunton.

The singer, who has been with property developer boyfriend Thomas Starr for six years, announced the news on her website.
